Yesterday Ford announced a recall of 5,264 2011-2014 Ford F59 Commercial Stripped Chassis vehicles in North America because electrical junction blocks could short-circuit if driven in areas where salt is spread on roads. Drivers may experience smoke coming from the right front wheel well, a loss of electrical power — or potentially a fire, with or without the engine running. Dealers will replace the block.

This is also what is called a STOP DELIVERY recall, meaning that effective immediately, Ford dealers can no longer deliver any F59 Commercial Chassis step vans until the defect is corrected. Ford is hopeful they will have the parts to fix these vehicles later this month.
ISP Fleet will keep monitoring the situation and provide updates as information becomes available.
